What's "Gallery Wrap" ?

A Gallery Wrap refers to a style of displaying canvas prints where the artwork is stretched and wrapped around the edges of a wooden frame. This technique creates a clean and modern presentation, eliminating the need for a traditional frame. The artwork extends seamlessly onto the sides, allowing the image to be viewed from all angles, providing a contemporary and immersive viewing experience.

Other Questions

Do you offer exclusive or premium content?

I don't currently, but I'm looking to setup a Patreon membership soon! Subscribing to my e-mail list would be the best way to stay up-to-date.

Do you paint in Oils or Acrylics?

I mainly paint in Oils, though I sometimes use Acrylics for base coats, and have even done Air brushed murals in the past.

Can you mix oil paints with acrylics or paint over the top of oil paints with acrylics?

No, absolutely not. What you can do is paint the under coating of your drawing/sketch with the acrylics and let them dry. Then you can paint over the top with oil, a method which I often employ. Order matters :)

Are oil paints toxic?

Not mine :) A lot of oil paints are indeed toxic, often involving the use of nasty solvents like paint thinner, to which I'm extremely sensitive anymore. Pew! Thankfully I was blessed by another artist friend years ago who told me about Michael Graham paints. They're made with natural ingredients like walnut oil and I use them exclusively.

How do you create such brilliance in your lighting and color?

Apart from painting techniques, my secret weapon is my paints. I use Michael Graham paints exclusively. They are so vivid and lifelike. Specifically white, yellow light, and orange colors make up a lot of the light I paint.

Where do you get your inspiration?

Like anyone else, I believe we all possess a creative spark within us, a reflection of our being made in God's image. Personally, I find great inspiration during my hikes to captivating locations like the beach. There, I immerse myself in the beauty of the surroundings, observe the intricate details, and keep my camera at the ready, often capturing glimpses of wildlife. These precious photographs serve as treasured references that I can weave into my artistic tapestry.

How do you achieve such fine detail?

The fine detail is often my favorite part of painting! In general these details involve using a very fine little brush, or a fine rake, which paints lots of little lines at once as in fur or grasses. Quite often I pair up with a magnifying glass as well.

How many hours in a day do you paint?

It varies, but usually I get up bright and early around 5:00am and have my coffee and breakfast. I paint for maybe four or five hours in the morning hours. That's my time.

When did you get your start painting?

Well, let me take you back to my childhood days! I was like a little explorer, always trailing behind my talented mom who was also a gifted painter. Her artistic spirit rubbed off on me, and I couldn't help but soak up everything around me. So, it's safe to say that I dipped my brush into the colorful world of painting from a young age, and I've been on this creative journey ever since!

I found your art cheaper on another site? Is it legitimate?

Feel free to drop me a line if you find a suspicious listing of my images elsewhere! I have entered into an art licensing agreement (In hindsight, I don't recommend it!) a few years ago which is thankfully due to expire soon and this may explain other listings you may find.

We are focusing our efforts on providing the highest quality pieces here on my website now! In the future you may also find my artwork on Etsy, or you may discover us through Ads which link back here.
