These funny tiny little tree frogs were climbing all over my purple iris flowers. I couldn’t resist photographing them. Their long skinny legs and clinging little toes allow them to hang in peculiar ways. I decided to paint in the night setting as that’s when we hear them creating their sweet musical sounds.
Pacific tree frogs are nocturnal. They're also tiny, growing to about 2 inches, and spending much of their time under logs, rocks, and long grasses - making them difficult to spot.
