This Grizzly encounter happened on one of my hikes in Montana at Glacier National Park. This bear was coming up the trail, as my hiking partner and I were going down!
Grizzly bears (ursus arctos) eat a large amount of fruit and, therefore, greatly help the spread of plants, as you may guess. They also help bring nitrogen into the soil by digging for roots, which contribute to overall plant diversity.
