Brand new baby horses, no matter what color or breed, are the cutest. This is my little filly which I woke up to, brand-new one spring morning. What a wonderful thing, this love for horses. In this painting, I added my two little kittens, now all grown up and great to have on the farm.
A mare carries her foal for about 11 months. After birth, the baby horse grows quickly, gaining about three pounds per day.
